Harvey Wershbale is a founder and was CEO of the firm for more than 20 years and has been associated with the practice through predecessor firms, including large national CPA firms, since 1975.

Harvey, along with his partners and associates, has taken Howard, Wershbale & Co. from a small local CPA firm to one of Ohio’s top firms, which has received multiple awards and recognitions. These honors are a by-product of a Firm culture engineered to provide top-notch service to clients.

Over the years, Harvey has developed and presented in-depth programs for professional groups such as the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, Ohio Health Care Association, Cleveland Bar Association and INPACT Americas. He has served on the Boards and as an officer of Montefiore Nursing Home, Jewish Family Service Association, the Kidney Foundation and INPACT Americas. Other leadership positions included the Mandel Jewish Community Center Strategic Planning Committee, the Fiscal Standards Committee of the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland, Trustee of the Turnaround Management Association and Beechmont Country Club. He was an Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants Chapter Vice President, State Director, Health Care Committee member, was appointed to Governor George Voinovich’s Medicaid Reform Advisory Group and also served as Treasurer for Ohio's Speaker of the House.

Harvey provides consulting services to a wide variety of businesses and has led or assisted in numerous deals with strategic thinking, candor and character.
